About – Becoming, Lucy

About – Becoming, Lucy

I’m Lucy.

I’m 25, a mother of two boys, and someone who probably thinks a little too much for her own good.

Most days look fairly ordinary: school runs, coffee shops, music too loud in my headphones, and writing squeezed into the corners of life whenever I can manage it.

I’m interested in people, why we do what we do, the stories we tell ourselves, and how quietly we can change without noticing at first.

Outside of writing, I spend an unreasonable amount of time listening to music like it might explain something about being human (or at least my version of it). I love stories big enough to disappear into – whether that’s fantasy worlds like The Witcher and Star Wars, books that stay with me for days afterwards, or spending an evening building Lego just because it quiets my brain for a while.

I like conversations that accidentally become too honest. I overthink things, romanticise small moments, question almost everything, and notice details that probably don’t matter as much as I decide they do.

Becoming, Lucy started because I needed somewhere to put my thoughts.

Not polished thoughts. Not the version of life that makes sense afterwards.

Just the middle of it.

The uncertainty. The contradictions. The things I’m still figuring out while they’re happening.

You’ll find essays, reflections, fragments, poems, occasional spirals, and whatever else feels true enough to leave here.

There’s no real agenda.

Just an open journal and someone trying to make sense of herself in public.

If you’re curious, welcome.
